Awards Assessor – The Prince’s Trust

You could help make a difference to young people’s lives by helping to provide financial assistance, as well as gaining and developing invaluable skills. Previous experience of working with young people is not essential.

Youth charity The Prince’s Trust helps change young lives. It gives practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation.

Young people we help include those who are:

  • Long term unemployed
  • Experiencing educational challenges
  • In or leaving care
  • Have been in trouble with the law

Development Awards are grants of between £50 – £500 for young people who are struggling to access financial support. Assessors meet with the young people who have applied to discuss their application and recommend if funding should be granted. The role will involve meeting a variety of people and hearing about how they will use this funding in order to progress into a positive outcome.

A great opportunity to make a real difference for young peoples lives. Good training and ongoing support is provided to all volunteers including an initial one day Working with our Young People training, awards assessor training, further training sessions throughout the year which all volunteers can attend if you wish to.
