Denis Law Legacy Trust Street Sport – Streetsport Volunteers

Streetsport is an exciting and important programme funded by the Denis Law Legacy Trust that takes a portable sports arena to various areas across Aberdeen City and gives young people the opportunity to play sport for free in a fun and safe environment. The project provides new opportunities and activities for young people to participate in whilst also reducing the risk to young people of becoming involved in anti social behaviour and providing a healthy alternative to drugs and alcohol for them. In addition we also have volunteer opportunities at our state of the art and Scotland’s first Cruyff Court, based at Catherine Street (just off George Street), Aberdeen.

Working in a team, volunteers who are involved in the Street Sport Project you can assist with activities such as organising games, helping referee games, participating with and building relationships with the young people that are involved in the sessions.

As a Streetsport volunteer you will have the opportunity to be placed onto a variety of recognised National Governing body coaching and training.

Streetsport is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity to not only help your local community but also to make a positive difference and develop and enhance your CV for future employment.
