Volunteer Treasurer and Trustees – Silver City Surfers

The Silver City Surfers is a charity which provides free one-to-one tutoring for people aged over 55, in how to use the technology and surf the Internet safely. Silver City Surfers was set up in 2005 by a group of older people for older people. Our sessions link a social aspect with learning in a supportive and encouraging environment tailored to the individual, where people feel comfortable learning something new.

Silver City Surfers wouldn’t exist if people didn’t volunteer and give of their time and expertise freely; that includes our management committee officials and our trustees.

Silver City Surfers is constantly changing as is the World around us and the communities and people we serve. Consequently we are seeking new blood to reinvigorate our management committee so if you are up to the challenge and think you can shape and support Silver City Surfers to meet our future challenges do let us know; simply drop us an email if you would like to know more.

We are also seeking a new treasurer, so if you have a head for figures and can find your way around a spreadsheet and think you might be capable of being our treasurer do let us know. Just drop us an email to find out more about the role and what’s involved.

Without volunteer committee members, officials and trustees Silver City Surfers will simply cease to exist! All help is therefore greatly appreciated and makes a real difference. It is a fantastic time to be on the Silver City Surfers Management Committee and be part of a great organisation that makes a real difference.
