Home-Start Volunteers

Home-Start Aberdeen supports local families, who may be vulnerable or experiencing isolation, with emotional and practical support.

We are very grateful to all the volunteers and organisations who contribute to our work. With a growing requirement for support from families, we are always looking for new volunteers and support.

Our volunteers perform a number of roles – home visiting volunteer s, charity shop assistant volunteers, delivery drivers, board advisers, fundraiser volunteers, trustee’s and many more. Those with a flair for events, who prefer to volunteer on an ad-hoc basis, are very welcome to join our Friends of Home-Start Aberdeen group. We will be running our next highlyregarded volunteer preparation course in January 2018, as well as training specific to the exciting and important Big Hopes Big Future project.

By volunteering with Home-Start Aberdeen, you will be contributing to the work of one of the largest Home-Start schemes in Scotland. There is therefore an opportunity to develop new friendships, learn new skills and really make a contribution to the lives of local families.
