Wilderness Foundation UK | Imbewu Scotland Wilderness Trails Volunteers

*About Opportunity

We are looking for volunteers to assist our Trail Leaders, supporting groups of young people on our Imbewu Wilderness trails at various locations in Scotland.  Current funding allows us to run around 4 Imbewu groups (each comprising up to 12 young people, 14/15 years old) each year. The trails last 7 days with one day prep, and include opportunities for either trekking, canoeing or kayaking.

*About The Wilderness Foundation UK

The Wilderness Foundation UK harnesses the power of the wilderness to transform vulnerable lives and empowers people to conserve nature.

Our Imbewu Scotland programme connects urban youth – many of whom have never experienced the wilder parts of Scotland before – with people who live and work in rural Scotland. As well as helping young people to improve their social and physical well-being, Imbewu also teaches employability and inspires young Scots to consider rural employment opportunities.

You will be covered by our insurance and fall under our policies and risk management.

For further information and enquiries please contact info@wildernessfoundation.org.uk or call the office on 03001233073 where you can talk to one of the Imbewu team or Angely who handles our volunteer recruitment.
