We believe no one in Scotland should be left alone to cope with the affects of spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. AND because of individuals like you no one has to….
For over 50 years SBH Scotland has provided a lifetime commitment of specialist support and information to all those affected by spina bifida, hydrocephalus and related conditions.Every year our services are available to over 3,500 children, young people and adults across Scotland through a helpline, workshops, individual and family support, home and hospital visits, youth clubs, health check clinics, one to one key workers and respite. It costs £1 million every year to provide extensive specialist services and with less than 1% in statutory funding we rely almost solely on people like you getting involved, alongside the generosity of trusts and the goodwill of volunteers.
On Sunday 24th March 2019 we are holding our well known Aberdeen Tower Abseil where participants will take part to raise money for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland. We are looking for volunteers to come along and help with registration and to help cheer on our participants, this is very important as we want everyone to feel special for taking part and encouragement at this event helps people with their fears and that we appreciate them.
The event happens at the Aberdeen Conference Centre on Sunday 24th March 2019. The event starts at 10am till 4pm but we would not ask anyone to be there all day – even if you could spare an hour or two it will be greatly appreciated and make a real difference. The Community Fundraising Manager will be there all day to show you where to go and what to be saying to participants to encourage them. Tea/Coffee and cakes will be bought for volunteers as well.
