The exciting Kiltwalk returns to Aberdeen on Sunday 2nd June 2019 and there is a range of great volunteer opportunities as part of this. The Kiltwalk wouldn’t be possible without the help of our fantastic network of volunteers – The Kilties! Help us raise millions of pounds for charities and causes all over Scotland, whilst having fun, making friends and creating memorable experiences that will last forever. All of our Kilties receive great training and are fully supported and kitted out in their uniforms on event days. If you have knowledge, experience and enthusiasm then the Kiltwalk needs you!
The Kiltwalk has over 10 roles to choose from, meaning there is a role suitable for everyone! For instance you could assist in any of the following roles helping as a >Carnival Kiltie, >Back Marker Kiltie, >Control Room Kiltie, >Course Zone Kiltie, >Driver Kiltie, >Info Point Kiltie, >Lead Bike Kiltie, >Lead Zone Kiltie >Pit Stop Kiltie, >Venue Kilties. For full details of roles please go onto our website – https://www.thekiltwalk.co.uk/volunteer/roles/ .
Thanks to Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation, the Kiltwalk will donate £1.40 for every hour contributed by a Kiltie volunteer, to a charity of their choice! When Kilties sign up to volunteer they simply select a charity to support and for every hour they volunteer for a Kiltwalk event, The Hunter Foundation will contribute £1.40 to that charity or cause. The Charity Boost Programme provides an opportunity for even more vital funds to be raised for charities and causes in Scotland. With our walkers every step, the Kilties are already the backbone of every Kiltwalk event. The programme now allows our volunteers to support and raise funds for a cause close to their heart while donating their valuable time to the events.
