Hunter Adams were delighted to speak at the most recent ACVO affiliate event at the launch of Volunteers week, and also to support the ‘Your People Your Highlights’ initiative. Hunter Adams have always had a commitment to supporting corporate social responsibility(CSR) and volunteering, both from an internal perspective from our won team, but also as a wider HR initiative. We understand the value that volunteering, community engagement and CSR can bring in terms of boosting staff morale and engagement, fostering good team relationships and demonstrating company values.
As an SME, we try to vary our fundraising initiatives and approach to CSR to ensure we can maximise our time and impact. We volunteer in a number of capacities including providing HR advice and guidance through our role on charity boards and supporting local school initiatives, to community gardening and acting as race marshals. Last year we raised £10,000 for Macmillan from our fundraising activities, including a sponsored kayaking expedition, a Christmas party for clients where we raffled some incredible prizes (including a much coveted Mulberry handbag), sporting activities, an annual bake off and various coffee mornings. This year we are proud to be supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust, chosen by our staff as our 2018 charity of the year, and will continue to encourage our staff to play an active role in our fundraising, as well as supporting them with any wider volunteering initiatives.
