Community is one of the four pillars that Belmont Community Cinema Ltd is built upon. As the team works diligently towards the re-imagining, refurbishment, and reopening of Aberdeen's beloved independent cinema, we are excited to offer the wider Belmont community the opportunity to join us on this journey, through our volunteer programme.

Our Community Development Manager, Michelle Soto, is delighted to launch the programme:

"From the moment I accepted my role, I have been connected to people who are keen to do more, to get involved, and to help create the community that will lie at the heart of The Belmont Cinema. I have been working with ACVO and researching volunteering programmes throughout Scotland to ensure that our Belmont Volunteering Programme creates meaningful opportunities for volunteers, as well as champions our commitment to Fair Work, EDI, and Accessibility. Our volunteering roles range from Ushers and Cinema Ambassadors who will commit their time and help share Our Story with people at events around the City, to those who will work with us to bring our creative project ideas to life. As someone who has a long history of volunteering, I know that establishing strong, meaningful opportunities is a vital part of developing our community, and I cannot wait to start collaborating with everyone".
