About this opportunity

Aberdeen City Council is teaming up with Young Scot and Bite Back, a youth-led movement fighting to make food healthier for young people. Together, we want to make it easier for everyone in Aberdeen to enjoy good, nutritious food.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • are aged 14–17
  • live in Aberdeen City Centre
  • want to have your say and make a difference

What’s happening?

Bite Back, supported by Young Scot and Aberdeen City Council, is running a free 2-day workshop during the October holidays, 20th – 21st October, where you’ll:

  • learn how the food system works (especially in Aberdeen)
  • explore how food is marketed to young people
  • come up with ideas to make things healthier
  • build skills and confidence
  • Plus… there’ll be fun activities, including a trip!

It’s totally free – we’ll pay for your travel, and meals will be provided!

Workshop dates

  • Tuesday 20th October – Wednesday 21st October 2026
  • 10am – 4pm both days
  • Venue is the North East College Scotland (NESCOL), Aberdeen.
