About this opportunity
Can you help us to reach more bowel cancer patients across Scotland?
About Bowel Cancer UK
We’re the country’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
By becoming a Service Promotion Helper, you’ll be helping us to reach the people who need our services the most. When you sign up, you’ll receive a pack through the post containing a selection of leaflets and posters with information about the services we offer. Full support and relevant guidance is provided.
By distributing these to your local health centres, you’ll be making them aware of what we can do to help people with bowel cancer and giving them information to distribute to patients at the point of diagnosis. This will provide vital support to us by providing access to areas and communities we may not have reached yet, whilst also raising our presence in Scotland so we can support as many people as possible.
What you will be doing
- Distributing our health information to your local health centre
- Putting up posters in health centres, hospital waiting rooms and local businesses
- Reporting back to us with basic details of where you've put leaflets/posters
