About this opportunity
Do you believe that all disabled people in Aberdeen City should live in housing that meets their needs?
DPHS Aberdeen (Disabled Persons Housing Service) is a registered Charity and was formally established in 2001.
Our mission is DPHS will provide a comprehensive housing advice service to people with disabilities within the city of Aberdeen.
DPHS offers information, advice and advocacy to people with a disability, their families and carers about housing options in and around the Aberdeen Area.
We are seeking passionate and experienced people who can dedicate some of their free time to the charity to join our Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors, which meets quarterly, administers the company. A Manager, appointed by the Directors, manages DPHS’s day-to-day operations.
The Board will:
• Set and review the strategy in liner with Memorandum and Articles of Association
• Ensure DPHS complies with legislation and documentation lodged in accordance with both Companies House and THE Office of Scottish Charities Regulator.
• Receive reports relating to DPHS staff activity
• Secure the organisation’s on-going financial viability
Meetings usually take place on Microsoft Teams, however any travel expenses will be reimbursed for any in person meetings held.
