About this opportunity

Glentanar Junior FC is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our growing team as we continue to develop both on and off the pitch. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an ambitious semi-professional club at the heart of Aberdeen’s football scene.

We’re seeking local football fans who want to contribute their time, skills, and energy in a welcoming, team-focused environment. Whether you can spare a few hours on match days or take on a regular role behind the scenes, your support will help the club thrive.

Current Volunteer Roles

• Match Day Operations: Help with match preparation, stewarding, ticketing, and ensuring everything runs smoothly on game days. You’ll be at the centre of the action and a key part of our supporters’ experience.
• Hospitality Team: Assist in providing a warm welcome to guests, sponsors, and visiting teams. Ideal for anyone who enjoys meeting people and creating a friendly, professional atmosphere.
• Treasurer: Support the committee by managing club finances, budgets, and fundraising initiatives. Perfect for someone with an eye for detail and an interest in community sport management.
• Social Media Manager: Manage the club’s social channels and help grow our online presence. Share match updates, player news, and behind-the-scenes stories with our fans and local community.
• Club Photographer: Capture the spirit of Glentanar through action shots, team photos, and event coverage. Great opportunity for photographers looking to build a sports portfolio.
• Club Secretary: A vital role supporting the committee with administration, correspondence, and fixture coordination. Ideal for someone organised who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.

Why Volunteer with Glentanar JFC?

• Be part of a proud community club with deep local roots and ambitious plans for the future.
• Gain valuable experience in sports management, media, event coordination, and community engagement.
• Enjoy being close to the game, working alongside players, coaches, and supporters.
• Meet new people, develop your skills, and make a real difference in grassroots football.

No previous experience is required for most roles — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive attitude. Training and guidance will be provided where needed, and all volunteers are fully supported by our club committee.

If you love football and want to play your part in supporting a semi-professional club that’s growing on and off the pitch, we’d love to hear from you.

Fantastic opportunities to assist and make a real difference. All help is greatly appreciated. For further details please contact Jordan Gomez, Chair at email glentanarjfc@gmail.com or telephone: 07977461767
