About this opportunity

TLC's Befriending Project is on a mission to empower and support people experiencing the effects of poor mental wellbeing, caused in part by loneliness and isolation.

Our volunteer befrienders commit to a 1 hour visit once a week and seek not to only be a listening ear, but also encourage you in building their befriendee's confidence and sense of belonging in their community.

We provide excellent support to all our volunteers, including extensive induction and other continuous trainings. We are with you every step of the way.

To join our fantastic team of volunteers making a real difference please contact Leighanna Whalley, Senior Befriending Coordinator at email: leighanna@tlc.org.uk or telephone: 07360159246 for more information.
