Aberdeen in Recovery (AiR) are looking to find talented, passionate and skilled people to fill some vacant seats on our Board of Trustees to help us grow and develop our innovative and solution focused charity

This is a great opportunity to be involved with a Christian Medical charity to raise funds for a neglected tropical disease. Leprosy still exists in over 120 countries with approximately 200,000 new cases every year despite there being a cure.

Aberdeen Civic Forum represents the views of communities in Aberdeen on the Community Planning Partnership. We have an opportunity for someone with administrative skills to assist the Office Bearers in ensuring that the Civic Forum reflects and advocates the views of communities in Aberdeen as effectively as possible and is able to contribute effectively to Community Planning in Aberdeen.

At Aberdeen Cyrenians, we are really fortunate to have the support of the local community who donate clothing, food and other goods to support those who are homeless or threatened with homelessness in Aberdeen City and Shire. We need volunteers to help us collect these donations from throughout the community.

Give the gift of time, and make a difference. Aberdeen Cyrenians started life as a soup kitchen run by student volunteers back in 1968. That ethos of volunteering and direct community support remains at the heart of what we do and it is essential in allowing us to provide the range of support that our service users rely on.

Aberdeen Civic Society have great opportunities for people to help volunteering as Executive Committee Members. An important feature of the Society's work is its Awards and Commendations Scheme. Through this, encouragement and recognition are given to those who have contributed to the amenity of the city by means of new buildings or the restoration and preservation of old buildings.

Aberdeen City Voice is a panel of Aberdeen City residents. We contact them on a regular basis to ask for their views on a wide range of issues that affect the community. At the moment over 1000 residents are on the City Voice Panel and we send them 3 questionnaires a year. The City Voice is supported by Aberdeen?s Community Planning Partnership so it covers a wide range of topics

The Aberdeen City Youth Council is the official voice of young people in Aberdeen. It works with many bodies in the city to improve representation of young people in the Aberdeen. It is made up of young people, aged between 14-25 years, from different areas and interest groups in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Health Village  is seeking volunteers to assist with providing teas/coffees and a friendly ear to patients at the wonderful café in Aberdeen Health Village. An important, enjoyable opportunity to help and make a real difference for patients at the Health Village.

This is a great opportunity to support a Citywide Sheltered Housing Committee and keep it independent. They meet once a month on a Thursday 2pm - 4pm in the Town Centre. They are a highly motivated group of retired people who want to be part of their housing service. The meetings are quite informal, there is always a laugh and of course tea/coffee and biscuit is provided.
