The Volunteer Befriender helps residents who feel isolated or unable to get out very easily on their own by giving time on a one to one basis to help a person maintain social contact, provide companionship and reduce loneliness and social isolation.

As a Pets As Therapy volunteer, you will be at the heart of what we do. PAT Volunteers are dedicated pet owners who give up their spare time to help others.

We are looking for volunteers to come in to the Centre on a Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9am-11.30am and set out all the toys, engage with the children and parents and organise a few small activities with the children like messy play, story telling or basic crafts, then tidy up again at the end of the group.

We are looking for enthusiastic helpers to assist in the café, which serves as a popular gathering spot on a Friday between 11.00am-2.00pm (people can volunteer the whole or part of the time). Volunteers will work as part of a friendly team, taking on tasks such as setting tables, serving coffee, clearing up, and keeping the space tidy.

Cornhill Soup and Sandwich Club, currently runs once a month, on the third Thursday at Cornhill Community Centre from 1100-1300. There is an opportunity to volunteer to help support the running of this.
