Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity and has been for over 45 years. Our aims are Prevent, Care, Cure, and our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone.
We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
We have Brain Health & Dementia Resource Centres in 26 different locations across Scotland. Our Centres provide a safe and friendly environment for people with dementia and their carers to visit and take part in a wide variety of therapeutic activity.
We are very proud of our 24 hour Freephone Dementia Helpline which provides information and emotional support to people with dementia, carers, families, friends and professionals. This vital service is only possible because of fundraised income and generous donations.
Our network of Dementia Advisors provide information, advice or advocacy with issues relating to dementia and brain health.
As a volunteer with us you will not only get the chance to provide vital support within your community and throughout Scotland but to boost your mental and physical health while making new friends and developing existing and new skills. We have a wide variety of volunteering opportunities available throughout Scotland for you to choose from.

There might still be the opportunity to lend your time as a volunteer, why not visit the organisation's website or get in touch to find out?
