“Aye Aye Club” is an ASN social club, based in Aberdeen, for young people aged 15-25 (no diagnosis required).
The Club takes place in Bridge of Don Community Centre, once a week during term time, on Mondays from 19:00-21:00. Aye Aye Club membership costs £2.00 per session per week (parents/carers free). The Club was established in May 2024. The Club is run by volunteers; parents/carers are asked to sign up to a rota for supervising activities in the club. For safeguarding purposes PVG checks are carried out on all club volunteers for the regulated role of “activity supporter”.
Aye Aye was set up to support young people who had outgrown the younger social group HANDSS (for ages 5-15). HANDSS stands for Helping Additional Needs Develop Social Skills and is an ASN club which also takes place in Bridge of Don Community Centre. Both clubs provided a supportive and safe space for young people with additional support needs to develop their social skills.
What to expect during sessions:

Are you interested in making a difference by helping young people with additional support needs to feel included, valued and supported? Would you like to gain experience and develop valuable skills in supporting young people? Then this opportunity is for you!
