About

One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

Cancer is unimaginably tough - for the person going through it and for family and friends, and that’s why Maggie’s is here.

Maggie’s delivers a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to people with any type of cancer, at any stage. We offer this support from our centres located on the grounds of 24 NHS cancer hospitals, over the phone and online. We support over 240,000 people each year.

Maggie’s centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people. They offer a calm, friendly environment where people with cancer find the hope, determination, and resources they need to cope with one of the toughest challenges any of us is likely to have to face. All support is delivered by Maggie’s expert team, including cancer support specialists, clinical psychologists, benefits advisors and nutritionists.

We know that levels of trauma and psychological stress amongst those living with cancer will only increase as people face worsened outcomes, severely impacted mental health and the spiralling cost of living crisis. That’s why we want to be there for everyone living with cancer so they can have access to the expert psychological and practical support they so desperately need.
