New Arc Wildlife Rescue is the largest wildlife rescue centre in the North-East of Scotland. We are an independent Charity (SC037332), based just outside of Ellon, Aberdeenshire, and we take in large numbers of orphaned or injured wildlife every year from all over the North-East of Scotland.
Please note we are not open to the public for visits, as a wildlife rescue facility our wildlife casualties are highly stressed, and need a calm and quiet environment. We are only open to recieve wildlife casualties from the public. Since we were established in 2006 we have rescued and rehabilitated over 16,000 animals and birds. We are an associate member of the British Wildlife Rehabilitation Council, and work closely with local and national Government, as well as other stakeholders such as veterinary professionals.
Our volunteers are critical to the functioning of our charity. We wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of rescued wild animals every year if it wasn’t for the dedication and commitment of our volunteers. We are open 7 days per week, 365 days per year, and there isn’t a day that goes by where there are no animals in our centre in need of feeding, cleaning and health checking.
We are looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help in our charity shop in Dyce (at Dyce shopping centre beside the Asda superstore)) – a vital source of funding for the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned wildlife across the North East Scotland. Every donated item we sell helps us give wildlife a second chance.
