Aberdeen Young Carers are looking for Befrienders to spend some quality time with a child or young person between the ages of 5-18 on a regular basis, getting to know them, and building up a positive relationship by being reliable and non-judgemental when listening to them.

A group volunteer with Aberdeen Young Carers will assist staff members in delivering any planned activities e.g. cooking, dancing, arts & crafts etc. You will actively participate with the activity, encourage young people to join in and have fun and build up positive relationships with the children and young people.

For too many young people, an unfair start means navigating life's toughest challenges alone. You can change that. Volunteer mentors meet their young person for one hour a week in safeguarded community and educational venues such as community centres, schools, and colleges.

We are seeking passionate and experienced people who can dedicate some of their free time to the charity to join our Board of Directors. The Board of Directors, which meets quarterly, administers the company. A Manager, appointed by the Directors, manages DPHS’s day-to-day operations.

Whether you’re out and about in your local area or supporting us directly in the Health Defence hub, your role will be crucial in helping us to deliver these important services.
