About this opportunity
The wonderful Snowdrop Café based at The Kings Way Centre, King's Way, Bridge of Don, AB23 8BL will be re-launched in September. It will be open every first and third Wednesday of the month at the King’s Way Centre, Bridge of Don, as a friendship & wellbeing space for those with Palliative Health Conditions & their carers.
The Snowdrop Cafe offers a calm space to foster friendship, wellbeing and care to individuals as well as their family, friends and carers who may also benefit from a listening ear. The cafe also provides free refreshments alongside activities such as jigsaws, games and crafts to bring enjoyment and relaxation amongst the guests to help improve emotional and mental wellbeing in difficult circumstances.
We are looking for compassionate, friendly volunteers who can offer a listening ear, give signposting information, serve refreshments and take part in the activities with the guests to create a warm, safe and enjoyable environment. Volunteers arrive at 1.30pm to set up, and finish around 4.15pm after tidying up. You will be put on a rota depending on your availability and how regular you would like to volunteer.
