About this opportunity

Rape Crisis Grampian (RCG) is pleased to invite applications for an exciting opportunity to join our forward thinking and committed Board of Directors.

Our Board plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction and governance of the organisation. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and who have, or wish to develop, skills in leadership, management, finance, human resources, fundraising, or organisational development.

We are committed to improving representation from seldom heard communities and encourage applications from individuals within these groups.

As a director, you will contribute to the effective governance of RCG, including attendance at monthly Board meetings and the Annual General Meeting. You may also be invited to support additional activities such as representing the organisation at external events, assisting with fundraising or networking, or contributing to influencing and awareness raising work.

All Trustees receive a full induction and access to relevant training. This is a voluntary role, and reasonable travel expenses for meetings and training will be reimbursed.

We welcome applications from people living in Aberdeen City and Shire who bring a broad range of professional and lived experience. Previous Board experience is preferred but not essential; however, an understanding of charity governance, financial oversight, funding and income generation, or employment and business practice would be advantageous.

If you are committed to strengthening a vital and specialist service in the Northeast, supporting survivors of rape and sexual violence and challenging the misconceptions that surround these issues, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact.

If you would like more information or to apply please contact us at email: board@rcgrampian.co.uk or telephone: 01224 590932
