About this opportunity
Do you have a passion for photography and enjoy capturing special moments?
We're looking for volunteer photographers to help showcase the incredible work happening at Your Love Rara.
From children's activities and community events to volunteer achievements and fundraising celebrations, there are so many stories worth sharing!
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and planning new charity fundraising events.
- Helping organise community markets, entertainment and family activities.
- Coordinating event preparations and supporting volunteers.
- Connecting with local businesses, performers and potential sponsors.
- Helping promote events and encourage attendance.
- Working with our team to manage event logistics.
- Bringing your own creative ideas and event concepts forward.
- Helping us make better use of our community venue.
Who we're looking for:
- Someone organised, enthusiastic, reliable and confident communicating with different people.
- You don't need previous event management experience, although it would be helpful.
- We welcome students, aspiring event managers, community-minded individuals and experienced event organisers looking to share their skills. All volunteers receive a welcoming induction covering our charity, safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality and photography consent procedures. PVG checks will be arranged where required. Ongoing guidance, support and opportunities to develop photography skills will be provided by our team. We encourage creativity, confidence and personal development. We are also family-friendly and welcome parents who wish to bring their children along while volunteering, subject to suitable arrangements and supervision. We understand the challenges of balancing family commitments and volunteering and aim to make opportunities as flexible and inclusive as possible.
- We're particularly interested in volunteers who are proactive, enjoy taking responsibility and would love the opportunity to develop their own event ideas with support from our team.
What you'll gain:
- Hands-on experience in event planning, leadership, teamwork, fundraising, community engagement and project management.
- You'll have opportunities to develop your own projects, build your CV, gain references and see your ideas make a real difference.
- Volunteers receive a complimentary hot meal for every four hours volunteered. We also welcome parents bringing their children along while volunteering, making opportunities more accessible and family-friendly. Travel expenses can be discussed individually.
