The walking project at CHSS aims to increase access to walking as part of the prevention of chest, heart or stroke conditions. As a walk leader you enable walks in your community. You will lead regular group health walks in the community alongside other Walk Leader Volunteers, these accessible walks are open to the public to attend and last no more than an hour.

Changing Faces Scotland are looking to start up a collection can service across Scotland and we need volunteers to help us with this project. The role would initially involve speaking to businesses in your area and finding shops, pubs, leisure centres etc. who would be willing to place one of our collection cans in their premises.

We would like volunteers to provide horticulture support to the Tullos Community Garden project. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of a community garden that has been up and running for almost 5 years.

Our Support For Learning volunteers work together with course tutors during the sessions to: prep and for the sessions and pack down afterwards; supporting course participants to carry out activities; supporting course participants with paperwork and writing where appropriate, and; sometimes some additional tasks (e.g. collecting refreshments for the sessions) are helpful as well.
