This is an exciting opportunity to play an active role in the governance of AARC. We are looking for individuals with experience in governance, finance, promotion/fundraising, or related skills, to become trustees. We are currently a small team of trustees, wanting to grow in size and experience as a team.

We are looking for individuals with lived experience of the asylum-seeking process, to become trustees. To avoid conflict of interest, we ask that you are no longer receiving direct support from AARC, but would welcome anyone who has previously received support from AARC.

Do you have a flair for preparing a meal in a community setting, or have a friendly nature bring a sense of welcome to our residents then we need you. Ruthrieston Community Centre hosts a Community Cafe every Friday 12-3 and we are looking for people to come and help in the kitchen and interact with our residents.

As a Board Member you are responsible for the strategic management of the Bureau. We welcome Board Members who are enthusiastic about helping their community, even if they don’t feel they have specific professional skills.

shmuSCREEN empowers local communities to create short films and video content for shmu’s online platforms. Participants will gain valuable skills in filming, interviewing, and editing, with a focus on producing impactful content that showcases the stories of their communities.

There are various volunteering roles in shmuFM: you can be a studio presenter, part of a community news gathering team, specialist music presenter, or get involved behind the scenes. Do you want to take part in vegan volunteering around Aberdeen? The Vegan Society's mission is to make veganism mainstream. We're working tirelessly to make veganism an easily-adopted and widely-recognised approach to reducing animal suffering and environmental damage.

The RVS Cuppa Club are one of over 100 affiliated partnered peer support groups with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. This is a social support group (tea & cake, games, bingo etc.) open to anyone who has had a stroke and those with long term health conditions.
