At Social Bite we believe that no one should be hungry, there is enough food and wealth in the city that means we can do something about this. Food is a great way of meeting peoples? needs as well as offering community, a listening ear, and sign posting people to other services they may need.

As a volunteer for this project, you will be a companion to our clients. Our clients are mostly elderly or people with disabilities affected by exclusion. In order to help them, we are providing a network of volunteers who accompany them while going out on public transport, going to pictures or, simply, grabbing a coffee.

The Aberdeen branch is looking for people who are interested in becoming listening volunteers. No previous experience is required and full training and support is given.

We are looking for volunteers in the Aberdeen area to help us raise awareness of Shared Interest to the public. You will have the opportunity to utilise and develop your communication skills and you will help us raise even more investment so we can enable even more disadvantaged communities to trade their way out of poverty.

We need volunteers to assist our team in delivering engaging and rewarding sessions for all our service users. You would be involved in activities such as crafts, baking, games and music as well as helping with the set-up, making refreshments and tidying up.

Searchlight Scotland organises a Coffee Morning every Friday from 10am-12pm at the Junction Café (5 Bon-Accord Terrace, Aberdeen AB11 6DP), in collaboration with The Junction Church. We have great opportunities for people to help volunteering at the Coffee Mornings and provide a smile to our customers.
